1. Direct Peer-to-Peer Transactions
When you click a payment link on SellTheSpot, you are redirected to an external payment processor chosen and operated directly by the Creator (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Dodo Payments, or other providers).
SellTheSpot is not a party to the financial transaction, does not act as a merchant of record, and does not hold funds in escrow.
2. Zero Platform Fee
SellTheSpot charges 0% platform commission to both creators and sponsors. 100% of the funds paid go directly to the creator (minus any standard processing fees charged by the creator's payment gateway).
3. Refund Requests & Disputes
Because SellTheSpot does not handle payments, SellTheSpot cannot issue refunds directly to your credit card or bank account.
If you require a refund:
- Contact the Creator First: Message or email the creator directly using the contact details provided in your sponsorship confirmation. Creators can issue full or partial refunds through their payment processor dashboard.
- Payment Processor Disputes: If the creator is unresponsive or refuses to honor the agreed terms, you may utilize the dispute/chargeback mechanisms provided by your credit card issuer or payment service (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
- Report on SellTheSpot: Use our Problem Reporting tool so our team can review the creator's account, remove bad listings, and protect other brands.
4. Creator Responsibility Reminder
Creators accept full legal and moral responsibility for fulfilling accepted sponsorships, including displaying the branding in the agreed placement, maintaining its condition, and honoring the full duration.
